About the Artist |
||
Hi! My name is Erika. In May 2011, I received my BA in Elementary Education and minored in Studio Art at Trinity Christian College. I currently work as an intern for Camp Manitoqua and Retreat Center. Ever since I can remember, I have loved to create art. I started with drawing, moved to painting, undertook ceramics and sculpture, dabbled in printmaking, and have landed in a spot where I can use all of medias I have worked with. I love the little details of life. I love the crispy leaves on the ground in fall, the sun streaming through the clouds, the way water forms bubbles when it runs over itself, and the sound rain makes on different surfaces. My jewelry depicts the little things in life. I create work that looks back on nature and also create work that points to the little details. I also strive to be a genuine and unique individual so my work is created to be unique as well. I was given a gift to use my hands and create. |
